Over the coming years we want to develop and deliver a more holistic environmental programme within our diocese. We are therefore delighted to have been awarded a Capacity Building Grant from the Church of England’s national Net Zero Carbon fund.
Many across the diocese will already be aware that St Andrew's Church in Jarrom Street, Leicester, was affected by a devastating fire last week, which caused significant damage to the church roof and everything inside.
Earlier in July, our 11 young adults came to the end of their Ministry Experience Scheme (MES) placement year in the Diocese of Leicester. During their time here, these young people have served a range of churches and engaged in a variety of mission and ministry.
A new course which equips leaders as they support and prepare young people journeying towards confirmation is now available to download for free.

A special licencing service was recently held in the chapel at Launde Abbey for the Revd Debbie Smith, as she joined the Community and College of Chaplains at the Abbey as their new Resident Chaplain.
