The collation and installation of the new Archdeacon of Leicester was held on Thursday (2 October) during evensong at Leicester Cathedral. Launde Abbey was host to the 2025 Outdoor Worship Leicestershire (OWL) Conference, which saw more than 120 people - adults and children - come together to Pray and Play in Creation through a variety of diverse and creative workshops.
It was an afternoon of prayer and praise, recognition and respect, as the Diocese and Cathedral came together to celebrate the vital ministry of chaplains who serve faithfully across our hospitals, schools, prisons, universities, and many other community spaces within the Diocese of Leicester.
