September is East & Southeast Asian (ESEA) Heritage Month. Jessie Tang, our Intercultural Ministry Director, reflects on her familial journey.
At the beginning of the summer, three of our MES students, Fernando, Nicole and Paulinho, spent time with St Andrew’s Church in Countesthorpe, supporting them with a mission week - a series of events run by the church to meet and serve members of the community.
This year, the Download Chaplaincy Team had a real sense of walking on holy ground. A team of 60 ecumenical chaplains from across the country gathered on a dusty field at Donington Park to welcome 80,000 festival goers. It was hot, it was dusty, it was fun, and it was very loud!
Palm Sunday at St Denys Church in Evington was an extra special celebration on Sunday as the service was taken out into the community.
Sunday 9 February is Racial Justice Sunday. Entering its 30th year of celebration, this is a unique day in which we, as the body of Christ, highlight the continued need to oppose racism and pursue racial justice.
Throughout Advent, churches all around the diocese have been sharing the Christmas story and blessing their communities in many creative and inspiring ways.
The Church of the Martyrs in Leicester have found a great way to casually, and rather comfortably, connect with its neighbours this summer through ‘Sofa Chat’.
Last Autumn, three families felt a shared sense of calling to become part of the weekly worshipping community at The Good Shepherd.
40 people, lay and ordained, joined the Chaplaincy Team for this year's Download to offer festival-goers a safe space, a listening ear and to offer prayer.
Jane Henderson from St John's Church in Hinckley is set to roll an epic nine miles across the Malvern Hills Ridge in her all-terrain wheelchair next month, to raise money for Church Army.
