First group of churches invited to pilot the process of becoming a Minster Community

A group of churches around the area of Launde Abbey has been invited to pilot the process of becoming a Minster Community as part of the new diocesan framework agreed by Diocesan Synod in October 2021. This will be the first group to pilot this process of conversations exploring what their Minster Community might look like. The process of forming a Minster Community is anticipated to take between eight and twelve months. Neighbouring parishes have also been informed and have been invited to observe the process.

Rural Church opens its doors for eco refills

A rural church working on its eco credentials has established a relationship with a local environmentally conscious company, to help make caring for God's earth as accessible as possible in its community. All Saints Church in Hoby, near Melton, is hosting a ‘Real Refills' pop-up shop every fortnight, selling ethically sourced products at affordable prices. The goods include food and cleaning products, bodycare and household items, all without the plastic packaging.
