Level Up Faith: Young Adults' BBQ with Bishop Saju at the Church of the Martyrs

Earlier in August, the Church of the Martyrs in Leicester gathered 20 young adults and university students for a sizzling BBQ and conversation with Bishop Saju. The group represented a diversity of cultural backgrounds who came together not only to share food but also to share fellowship.

Download Festival 2025 Chaplaincy Team

This year, the Download Chaplaincy Team had a real sense of walking on holy ground. A team of 60 ecumenical chaplains from across the country gathered on a dusty field at Donington Park to welcome 80,000 festival goers. It was hot, it was dusty, it was fun, and it was very loud!

An Abundance of Baptisms and Confirmations

It has been a busy month of baptisms and confirmations, as we’ve witnessed a host of people, young and old - and from the breadth of the diocese across all its diversity - make a commitment to Christ. Caring for God’s Precious Gift of Creation

Allocation of the Minor Repairs & Improvements (MR&I) Fund

8th May 2025

The Diocese of Leicester successfully secured up to £148,500 from the Church Commissioners’ Minor Repairs & Improvements scheme to distribute during the financial year 2024 to 2025 in order to support parishes in the upkeep of their buildings by making minor ‘stitch in time’ repairs or to facilitate small improvements to aid the mission and ministry of the local church.

Honouring SoundCafe Leicester Volunteers
