The Clewer Initiative is promoting its updated and improved Safe Car Wash App in Leicester this month.
A rural church working on its eco credentials has established a relationship with a local environmentally conscious company, to help make caring for God's earth as accessible as possible in its community. All Saints Church in Hoby, near Melton, is hosting a ‘Real Refills' pop-up shop every fortnight, selling ethically sourced products at affordable prices. The goods include food and cleaning products, bodycare and household items, all without the plastic packaging.
Food, medicine, shelter, care for children and people internally displaced in Ukraine is urgently needed as well as care for refugees at the borders and beyond, including people of all nationalities fleeing the war.
At a recent All Age Worship service at Christ Church, Mountsorrel, the worshipping community thought about how they've been blessed by God, and how they in turn can be a blessing to others.

The Bishop of Leicester has appointed a Social Policy Adviser (two days per week and funded nationally by the Church Commissioners). Florence Gildea will start in the role in the new year but will spend occasional days in the diocese before then.
As Christians we are called to serve our community and love our neighbour, but that calling was so strong for Laura, she had vulnerable families in our diocese on her heart before she had even moved to Leicester.
