Next month we are holding a diocesan vocations day, as an opportunity for people to explore their sense of calling.
A new calendar year and the journey continues for our eight MES students serving communities around the Diocese of Leicester.
From Vicars dressed up as Christingles to live Nativities on the farm, there has been much joy and merriment in sharing ‘the greatest story ever told’ with our schools, churches, and worshipping communities.
Pupils from Year Six led the whole school in worship this month during a merry and moving Christingle service at St Egelwin’s Church
It has been a big year for St Michael & All Angels Church in Ravenstone, celebrating its 700th birthday and successfully securing a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant.
As the end of the year draws ever closer and we get ready to celebrate the birth of Christ, the final baptisms, confirmations, and commitments of faith, have taken place around the diocese.
Bishop Saju visited Guru Tegh Bahadur Gurudwara in Leicester, together with Tom Wilson from the St Philip’s Centre.
At a time when important, and often difficult, conversations are being held within the Church of England, Christians around the diocese are being encouraged to engage with the reconciliation ministry course, Difference.
We believe the children are our future, and that future looks bright if the children of South Kilworth Church of England Primary are anything to go by.
Bishop Saju took time to meet and worship with many people around the diocese during October, admitting to communion, baptising and confirming a number of candidates on his journeys.
