A community gathering to exchange thoughts and feelings and explore how Leicester can continue to grow as an ‘intercultural city’ was hosted by Leicester Cathedral on Monday (3 March).
The first in a series of paintings depicting Loughborough Saints from around the globe has been unveiled at All Saints with Holy Trinity Church in Loughborough as part of its ‘We’re All Saints’ project.
The Revd Dr Vijay Kumar led a ‘deeply moving and spirit-filled’ prayer walk in the Belgrave area of the diocese.
Sunday 9 February is Racial Justice Sunday. Entering its 30th year of celebration, this is a unique day in which we, as the body of Christ, highlight the continued need to oppose racism and pursue racial justice.
Members of St Paul’s Church in Oadby recently achieved the ambitious goal of reading the entire Bible aloud in various different languages, bringing people together from the community, across the wider diocese and all over the world.

The licensing of The Reverend Dr Vijay Kumar as Pioneer Priest in the Benefice of the Resurrection Leicester, was held during morning prayer at Bishop’s Lodge on 14 January 2025.
The Bishops' Christmas Message reminds us that Christ came for all people. The video features Christmas wishes in many languages, thanks to the community of Hope Hamilton Church of England Primary School.
The service was an uplifting celebration of our diocese’s diverse intercultural communities, perfectly melded in a rich offering of music, dance, prayer and worship.
Sophie Holder was commissioned as Director of Racial Equity for the Diocese of Leicester during a joyful service of intercultural worship at the recent meeting of Diocesan Synod.
