We are delighted to have 12 participants enrolled on the Church of England Ministry Experience Scheme this academic year. They will be serving a range of churches across the Diocese of Leicester and engaging with a breadth of ministry including children and youth work, social action, community engagement, schools, worship and creative media.
Kimberley Tyler was commissioned as a Locally Authorised Minister at St Denys Church in Evington. Kimberley is currently exploring a call to ordained ministry, and admits it has taken her some time to finally realise that God calls all kinds of people.
It was an afternoon of prayer and praise, recognition and respect, as the Diocese and Cathedral came together to celebrate the vital ministry of chaplains who serve faithfully across our hospitals, schools, prisons, universities, and many other community spaces within the Diocese of Leicester.
In a first for the diocese, and the final step in her vocation, Janine Fair recently made her Life Vow for the Single Consecrated Life (SCL).
As the new school year begins, so too does the next chapter of our diocesan Journey in Faith (JiF) course. If you are seeking to grow in your knowledge of the Christian Faith, deepen your relationship with God and explore how to live out your faith in your whole life, then JiF is a great place to start.
What makes a saint? Not halos, not headlines, but hands. In this video Bishop Saju reflects on the life and death of St Wistan and asks us to consider how God might be calling us to serve Him.
We are delighted to report that the 2025 Petertide Ordinations in the Diocese of Leicester took place over the weekend and on Monday evening in three joyful services at Leicester Cathedral.
The Cathedral was filled with joy during the annual Called Together Service on Saturday 7 June as people came together in prayer and thanksgiving for lay ministers across the diocese.
Everyone is warmly invited to attend the services of ordination taking place in Leicester Cathedral this Petertide.
