Creationtide is a month of unity, when Christians around the world celebrate the beauty and wonder of creation and commit to caring for our common home.
At the beginning of the summer, three of our MES students, Fernando, Nicole and Paulinho, spent time with St Andrew’s Church in Countesthorpe, supporting them with a mission week - a series of events run by the church to meet and serve members of the community.
In February 2025, General Synod voted to strengthen the role of young adults in shaping the Church’s future, passing a motion to embed their voices more systematically in national decision-making.
The theme for this year's South Asian Heritage Month, which runs from 18 July – 17 August, is 'Roots to Routes'.
Throughout June and into the beginning of July, a number of our worshipping communities welcomed and witnessed members of their church families taking the next step on their faith journeys.
We are delighted to report that the 2025 Petertide Ordinations in the Diocese of Leicester took place over the weekend and on Monday evening in three joyful services at Leicester Cathedral.
We remain deeply appalled by the serious criminal behaviour that led to Venessa Pinto’s conviction and our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by her actions.
In a celebration of cultural diversity and inspirational people from all times and all places, the church of All Saints with Holy Trinity in Loughborough came alive with the sights, sounds, and spices of its intercultural community last weekend.
Across the diocese, many of our churches have been praying for their local communities, and for those who don’t yet know Jesus, as part of the global initiative ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ - which runs annually from Ascension Day to Pentecost.
The Cathedral was filled with joy during the annual Called Together Service on Saturday 7 June as people came together in prayer and thanksgiving for lay ministers across the diocese.
