September is East & Southeast Asian (ESEA) Heritage Month. Jessie Tang, our Intercultural Ministry Director, reflects on her familial journey.
Earlier in August, the Church of the Martyrs in Leicester gathered 20 young adults and university students for a sizzling BBQ and conversation with Bishop Saju. The group represented a diversity of cultural backgrounds who came together not only to share food but also to share fellowship.
This September, a team from the Diocese of Leicester, led by Revd Dave Rollett, will be travelling to Tanzania to visit our link partner dioceses of Kilimanjaro and Kiteto.
The theme for this year's South Asian Heritage Month, which runs from 18 July – 17 August, is 'Roots to Routes'.
In a celebration of cultural diversity and inspirational people from all times and all places, the church of All Saints with Holy Trinity in Loughborough came alive with the sights, sounds, and spices of its intercultural community last weekend.
A service of welcome and commitment to shared ministry in the Benefice of the Resurrection was recently held to receive the Reverend Dr Vijay Kumar in his role as Pioneer Priest.
The joyful beginnings of new ministry were celebrated in Loughborough earlier this month as Reverend Emily Sharman was welcomed as Rector of All Saints with Holy Trinity during a service of institution and induction.

The first in a series of paintings depicting Loughborough Saints from around the globe has been unveiled at All Saints with Holy Trinity Church in Loughborough as part of its ‘We’re All Saints’ project.
The Revd Dr Vijay Kumar led a ‘deeply moving and spirit-filled’ prayer walk in the Belgrave area of the diocese.
