Christ Church Thurnby Lodge was the venue on Saturday afternoon for a beautiful, moving and inspiring event celebrating the arrival of the SS Windrush in Tilbury Docks on 22 June 1948. The service brought together congregations from the Ascension Team of Churches and St Matthew's Seventh Day Adventist church and they were joined by Bishop Saju.
Plans to help churches and schools reach carbon net zero by the end of the decade will be considered by General Synod in July.
