Vocations Sunday, which is on Sunday 11 May this year, is an ideal opportunity to nurture vocations amongst your worshipping community.
You don’t have to be a priest to serve God - there are lots of other ways in which the Church enables people to undertake particular roles and tasks in mission.
We are all called to live out our faith in all aspects of life and that includes our households, how we interact with the community, our work place, the planet, as well as our role in the shared mission and ministry of the church we belong to.
The national Church has prepared liturgies to use in your worshipping community on Vocations Sunday, including a service of the Word and a service of Holy Communion, plus alternative texts to use in different contexts.

God our Father, Lord of all the world,
through your Son you have called us into the fellowship
of your universal Church:
hear our prayer for your faithful people
that in their vocation and ministry
each may be an instrument of your love,
through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Amen.
