The Jeremy Thomas art exhibition ‘The Human One’

An art exhibition displaying the work of Jeremy Thomas, depicting the life of Jesus, is taking place at St Hugh's in Market Harborough this month.

“The 30 paintings take us through the journey of Jesus – The Human One – from the annunciation of John the Baptist to the not quite completed Pentecost. The paintings also ask questions of our own faith journey and our own understanding of who Jesus is for each of us. The level of detail and the subtle links between the paintings take time to ponder as new insights are revealed through these familiar stories which explore the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus.” explains Revd Alison Iliffe, Team Vicar at The Benefice of Market Harborough and The Transfiguration.

“Below is my current favourite from the exhibition, but I get the sense this might change over the next three weeks as I continue to discover what the paintings might reveal.”

More information of the art can be found on Jeremy’s website here. The exhibition is at St Hugh until 20 August, opening times can be found on The Parish of the Transfiguration page of the website or email transfig@harborough-anglican.org.uk. Admission is free with refreshments, exhibition books and gift art on sale. Any money raised will go towards the St Hugh Cygnet Project – the vision of reordering St Hugh into a joint community and worship space.
