Focal Ministry is emerging in the diocese as a way to recognise those who are called to love and serve their local church and community.
Focal ministers are people who are:
– Rooted, embedded in their communities.
– Visible, seen as the face of the local church.
– Fruitful, enable others to grow in faith.
In this new video, Liz Rawlings speaks to Associate Minister, Hilary Painter, who explains her sense of calling to Focal Ministry.
Some people who serve as Focal Ministers will, like Hilary, be existing licensed Associate Ministers; but others may not and the diocese is committed to enabling them to be recognised, authorised and supported as spiritual leaders in their parishes.
