Inter Faith Week begins on Remembrance Sunday (9 November) and was chosen as a start day to encourage people to remember together the contributions of all faiths and none, and to consider how best to create a just, peaceful, and harmonious world.

Championing shared values to help build a stronger, more compassionate world.
Rooted in the Latin meaning of “community” as “shared,” we take this moment to illuminate the incredible values that bind us together. When we unite, positive change is not only possible, but also inevitable. So, let’s serve together, celebrate our connections, and make a real difference.
Inter Faith Week presents us with a wonderful opportunity to better understand our neighbours. In a world which is being fuelled by fear and division, sharing time over a cup of tea is a radical act of care and listening.
Here are some ways you can send ripples of love through your community:
- Hold a coffee morning for neighbours of all religions or no religion
 - Share a meals or conversations about life and faith with international students
 - Learn about your colleague’s faith over a cuppa!
 - Collaborate on social justice issues, such as tackling homelessness with local charity One Roof Leicester.

Light in the Darkness
The St Philip's Centre, which helps communities learn how to live well together, is hosting an event and invites you to come along.
Light in the Darkness is an introductory panel discussion, followed by conversation in small groups on how faith and belief give us hope in troubled times.
A part of the St Philip's Centre's Connected Communities series, the session will begin with a short (20 minute) panel discussion on how faith and belief help us in difficult times. You will then split into small groups to continue the conversation over hot drinks and cake.
Thursday 13 November, 6.30pm-8pm - Christchurch, 105A Clarendon Park Road, Leicester LE2 3AH
