Our Bishops have been out and about in the diocese this Eastertide, leading services of confirmation, and sharing in the journeys of those taking their first steps in faith.
Jane Henderson from St John's Church in Hinckley is set to roll an epic nine miles across the Malvern Hills Ridge in her all-terrain wheelchair next month, to raise money for Church Army.
Jan Barlow was licensed and welcomed to St Paul’s Church in Oadby on Sunday 7 April, during a joyously intercultural service marking new beginnings and a commitment to shared ministry.
Following their calling to see teenagers and young adults with additional needs raised-up to serve God and their church family, a small team at Holy Trinity Church in Leicester have created a monthly, accessible service.
In an array of activities across the diocese, churches of different denominations came together to witness to, commemorate and celebrate the events of Holy Week and Easter.
The Leicester Anglican Cursillo (LAC) community continues to grow in faith and fellowship, as it marks another year in the diocese and looks forward to its annual weekend course at Launde Abbey.
Thy Kingdom Come is an annual ecumenical prayer movement which unites Christians around the world in praying from Ascension to Pentecost for the coming of the Spirit and for more people to come to know Christ. This year it will take place from Thursday 9th May to Sunday 19th May, and the national church has produced new and updated resources so everyone can take part.
It’s incredibly encouraging to hear how our worshipping communities have embraced the Bishops’ Lent Appeal in support of Baca this year, giving generously to the good cause.
Revd Emily Sharman was welcomed into St Margaret of Antioch’s Church during a joyful service of induction, and commitment to shared ministry in the rural benefice of the Fenn Lanes.
Called to serve her church and community, Christina Walmsley was recently commissioned as a Locally Authorised Minister at St Matthew’s Church in Worthington.
