Special service for hundreds of Year 6 Leavers
Bishop Martyn and the Diocesan Board of Education team welcomed several hundred pupils from some of our Church of England schools to Leicester Cathedral to mark the end of their last term before progressing to secondary schools

Messy Confirmation held in Oadby
“Peter’s Place”, a Messy Church in Oadby, hosted a service with candidates from St Peter’s Oadby, “Peter’s Place” and St Cuthbert’s, Great Glen being baptised and confirmed by Bishop Martyn. The service, which included Messy Church style activities, was a wonderful celebration of the faith journeys of those being baptised and confirmed.

St Wistan’s Pilgrimage
On the 1st June, 40 people, ranging from 3 years old to 80 met together for the St Wistan’s Pilgrimage. Different parish priests worked together with pioneers Matthew and Stephen who planned the event.

Crowds gather for moving Leicester at the Cross event
Crowds gathered to follow and watch the moving re-enactment of Jesus’s trial, death and resurrection with ‘Leicester at the Cross’ in the city centre with the Bishop of Leicester and church leaders of different denominations.

Paul’s Everyday Faith
Paul is a member of Hope Church in Hamilton and recently retired. Having been inspired to live out his faith in the world, he is now a volunteer at Leicester Prison and regularly spends time in Bible study and worship with the prisoners. Here he talks about his everyday faith and how working with those on the margins is deepening his own relationship with God.
