Bishop Martyn’s Leicestershire Lent Pilgrimage of Prayer

The Bishop of Leicestershire will undertake a Lent pilgrimage, walking around the diocese at weekends in the run up to Easter 2023, visiting many of the churches he has not yet been able to visit and encouraging people in prayer.

The pilgrimage will be launched on Saturday 25 February.

It will include opening the St Morrell’s Pilgrimage Route at Hallaton, which was recently postponed due to the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The diocese continues to focus on Everyday Faith with prayer being one of the three elements essential to our life as Christians in Leicester and Leicestershire. Read more here.

There has been an initial meeting of a planning group and any of our worshipping communities that wish to be involved should contact Bishop’s Office.
