Chair of the House of Clergy

We are pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Steve Bailey, Team Rector in The Oadby Great Glen Team Ministry and Area Dean of The Gartree Deanery also, as Chair of the House of Clergy.


Mrs Helen Stokes

With grateful thanks for her ministry and prayers of blessing for the future, we announce that Mrs Helen Stokes will be retiring from her role as Anglican Chaplain at HMP Leicester at the end of February.


The Revd Rob Leveritt

With grateful thanks for his ministry and prayers of blessing for the future, we announce that The Revd Rob Leveritt, Curate in the Benefice of Market Harborough and The Transfiguration - Little Bowden with Lubenham and Great Bowden, has been appointed as Priest In Charge of the Alde River Benefice in the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.


The Revd Canon Alistair Helm

With grateful thanks for their ministry, The Revd Canon Alistair Helm has been granted the Bishop’s Permission to Officiate (PT0).


Lay Chairs - Akeley East Deanery and Guthlaxton Deanery.

We are pleased to announce that John Dodson, of St Botolph Church in Shepshed, was recently elected as the Lay Chair for the Akeley East Deanery. Also, Phil Leech was elected as the Lay Chair for the Guthlaxton Deanery earlier this year.


The Revd Kimberley (Kim) Ford

We are pleased to announce that The Revd Kim Ford, is to be seconded to the position of Assistant Archdeacon while retaining her current role at The Beacon Church, Hinckley (seconded from Team Vicar in the Oadby Great Glen Team Ministry).


The Revd David Palmer

We are pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd David Palmer, currently curate in this diocese, as Associate Priest to the Launde Deanery and Pastoral Outreach Enabler to Launde Minster Community (self supporting).


The Revd Neil Stothers

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of The Revd Neil Stothers, aged 63, on Friday 13 October 2023. Neil was Priest in Charge of the South Croxton Benefice and Burrough Hill Parishes.

With grateful thanks for his service over the past 15 years, we announce that Gordon Arthur has stepped down from his role as Lay Chair for the Gartree Deanery.


The Revd Tony Leighton

With grateful thanks for his ministry and prayers of blessing for the future, we announce that The Revd Tony Leighton will be retiring from his role as Master of Wyggestons and his role as Associate Priest in the Benefice of Holy Apostles.
