The Bishop is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Brett Murphy, Priest in Charge of The Esk Parishes in the Diocese of Carlisle, as Vicar of the Benefice of Broom Leys.

The Bishop is pleased to announce the secondment of The Revd Stewart Betts, Curate in the Benefice of Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Breedon-on-the-Hill (The Flagstaff Family of Churches), to the Benefice of Cosby and Whetstone from Monday 7 June.

The Bishop announces that The Revd Mark Battison, Priest in Charge of the Benefice of The Abbey, Leicester, will be retiring with effect from Thursday 30th September 2021

The Bishop announces that The Revd Rosie Woodall, Chaplain to the Bishop of Leicester, has been appointed as Interim Chaplain to the Bishop of Chelmsford.

The Bishop announces that The Revd Steven Harvey, Associate Rector of The Benefice of Emmanuel Loughborough (currently on secondment to the Benefice of Broom Leys), has been appointed as Priest-in-Charge of Christ Church, South Ossett and Trinity Church, Ossett and Gawthorpe in the Diocese of Leeds


The Revd Vince Jupp

The Bishop announces that The Revd Vince Jupp, Diocesan Transition Enabler (Interim Priest) currently ministering in the Benefice of St Mary's Hinckley, will be retiring with effect from 31 May 2021. Vince's last day at St Mary's will be Sunday 23 May.


The Revd Richard Reakes

The Bishop is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Richard Reakes, Team Vicar of Bishop's Cleeve and Woolstone with Gotherington and Oxenton Team Ministry in the Diocese of Gloucester, as Rector of the Four Saints Benefice.


The Revd Simon Stevens

The Bishop announces that The Revd Simon Stevens, Pioneer Minister at Belgrave St Peter's Community Church (BMO), will be resigning with effect from 16th May 2021.


The Revd Janet May Collins

The Bishop announces the death of The Revd Jan Collins, aged 65, on 10th April 2021. In 1994 Jan was ordained as one of the first women priests, having served as a deaconess and deacon in the Dioceses of Newcastle and St Albans. Jan ministered in the Dioceses of Oxford and Peterborough, before retiring to Leicester where she held the Bishop's Permission to Officiate
