Preaching Well Podcast

A new podcast is entering the preaching landscape, hosted by Bishop Saju Muthalaly, Bishop of Loughborough in the Diocese of Leicester. Officially launching on Monday 2 February, we offer warmly welcome you to dive deep into conversations where the art of preaching meets the pulse of the world.

Preaching Well welcomes some of the most insightful and inspiring voices in contemporary Christianity, including Sam Corley, Kelly Brown Douglas, Hannah Steele, Martyn Snow, Jared Alcántara, and many more. Each episode will draw listeners into deep, energising conversations that bring wisdom, wit, and wonder to the craft of preaching. Whether you preach from a pulpit, teach in a classroom, or share hope on a porch, Preaching Well is designed to equip and inspire you to speak Scripture with clarity, compassion, and courage - across cultures, contexts, and generations. So, let’s hand over to Bishop Saju to give you the full podcast pictures.

Words matter and preaching matters, because everyday someone stands up and speaks and people lean in hungry for hope, truth, and meaning. Preaching is hard work - It takes craft to courage and character and that's why we're launching the Preaching Well podcast. This podcast is for preachers and those who love preaching alike. Each episode contains deep wisdom from some of our finest preachers.

Bishop Saju talks with Archbishop Rowan Williams who waits, listens, and threads wonder into wisdom. You will hear conversations with Professor Kelly Douglas Brown, who names and frames justice with theology, and our own Bishop Martyn Snow who loves and steadies Leicester and the church for the long haul, alongside many other outstanding preachers.

On the Preaching Well podcast, we explore the craft of preaching, how to shape words that land, the content of preaching, scripture, culture, and spiritual formation and character.

Who we are always speaks much louder than what we say. So, whether you are wondering how to plot a sermon, how to place a story, or thinking about the posture of your prayer, this is for you.

Look out for Preaching Well podcast and pass the word on to a preacher who you think will be enriched by Preaching Well.
