The Bishop announces the death of The Revd Colin Southall, aged 86, on Monday 27 February 2023. Colin was ordained Deacon in the diocese of Birmingham in 1965 and then as Priest in the Diocese of Lincoln in 1982.
Colin then served as Assistant Priest to the Parish of Great Glen, with Wistow, Newtown Harcourt and Great Stretton in the Diocese of Leicester, and then served as Assistant Chaplain at the Leicester Royal Infirmary from 1993 until 1996. Colin later served as NSM Priest at Fleckney and Kilby until his retirement in 1998, from which time he held the Bishop’s Permission to Officiate in this diocese until 2022.
Colin’s funeral mass will be held in Fleckney Parish Church at 1.30pm on Thursday 16 March 2023, to which all are welcome
