The Chancellor for the Diocese of Leicester has issued an Additional Matter Order that adds the following to List B, which requires the Archdeacon’s consent via the Online Faculty System (OFS): –
The installation of equipment (including CCTV equipment and lighting activated by movement) to provide for or increase the security of the Church Building and Churchyard provided that no substantial structural alteration to the Church building and no matter mentioned in section 77(7) of the Measure is permitted by this Order

PCCs should note that repairs, even if like for like, do affect the fabric of the church and are not, therefore, eligible under category A1 (1) and instead require the Archdeacon’s consent under B1 (1).
