The Bishop announces the recent death of The Revd Michael Hardy, aged 89. Michael served his curacy at St James the Greater in 1986-1988, and then Rector of Arnesby with Shearsby and Bruntingthorpe from 1988 until 1994 where he became Team Vicar of The Bradgate Team until 1999. Michael was Rural Dean of Guthlaxton between 1991 and 1994, and most recently held Permission to Officiate in Leicester from 1999 to 2012, and in Peterborough from 1999. Michael’s funeral will be held next Tuesday 18 October at 11.30am in Oakham Parish Church.
