It is with sadness that we announce the death of The Revd Anthony Leigh Lattimore, aged 89, on Sunday 3 August 2025.
Leigh was ordained in Leicester in 1962 and served all his ministry in Leicester, including Curate at St Andrews, Aylestone (1962-1966), Vicar of Eyres Monsell (1966-1973), Vicar of Somerby (1973-1986) and latterly Rector of Glenfield (1986-1995). Leigh also held the role of Rural Dean in Goscote First Deanery.
Leigh later held the Bishop’s Permission to Officiate in the Dioceses of Peterborough and Leicester from 1995 to 2012.
He leaves behind his wife, Jean and his son, Andrew.
Leigh’s funeral is to be held at Great Glen Crematorium at 2.30pm on Wednesday 27 August, to which all are welcome.
