The Bishop announces the death of The Revd Dr David Brewin, aged 83, on Saturday 17 December 2022. David was ordained in Lichfield in 1967 and later served as vicar in Eyres Monsell from 1973 until 1979, as vicar in East Goscote until 1990, and then as Rector in Thurcaston from 1990 until 2005, upon which time he retired.
David held the Bishop’s Permission to Officiate in the Diocese of Leicester from 2005 until 2016, and in Peterborough Diocese from 2006 until 2017. David was the beloved husband of Mary, much loved brother of Malcolm and Jeanne, and caring uncle to Jonathon, Christopher, and Henry. David’s funeral will be held at All Saints Church, Thurcaston on Friday 27 January 2023 at 10.30 am, to which all are welcome.
