The Bishop announces the death of The Revd Canon Geoffrey White, aged 94, on Monday 17 October 2022. Geoffrey served his curacy first in Salisbury and later in Southwark between 1953 and 1961, and then served as vicar in Leeds until 1963, for three years as Hospital Chaplain of King’s College London, and then served as vicar in Chichester between 1966 and 1993 when he retired, whilst also Honorary curate at St Dunstan and All Saints, Stepney, from 1994 until 2010. Geoffrey held Permission to Officiate in London from 2013 to 2019, Leicester from 2015 to 2020, and in Peterborough from 2017 until his recent death. Geoffrey’s funeral will be held on 17t November at 2pm, at St Dunstan’s Church, Stepney, London.
