We are very sorry to announce that Andrew Nutter, Project Manager in the Diocesan Team, died in hospital on Sunday 28 July following complications after heart surgery. Andrew joined the diocesan staff in 2008 as Director of Parish Funding and Fundraising and soon became well known for his wise and prayer-inspired support for parishes throughout the diocese, particularly in stewardship programmes. His gentle humour and deep understanding of the local church enabled him to walk alongside churches large and small as they wrestled with financial challenges of all kinds. In the past two years, Andrew has been the Project Manager for two building conversions in the centre of Leicester – St Martins Lodge and the Community of the Tree of Life house. He was anticipating retirement at the end of July and a move to the Scottish borders, but very sadly a scheduled operation for a long-standing condition did not go as planned. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Trisha and the rest of their family.
