The licensing of the Revd Crystal McAllister, as Interim Oversight Minister in the Launde Deanery Minster Community, was held during morning prayer on Tuesday 1 July at Bishop’s Lodge.
Church members from across the North West Leicestershire (NWL) Deanery gathered together recently for ‘Called to Serve’ - a day of learning, worship and fellowship intended to inspire and encourage all who serve the mission and ministry of their local church.
All of our church communities from across the diocese have now been invited to take part in the Minster Community formation process, marking a significant step forward in the Shaped By God Together journey.
We are delighted to report that the 2025 Petertide Ordinations in the Diocese of Leicester took place over the weekend and on Monday evening in three joyful services at Leicester Cathedral.
During June the churchyard of St Peter’s Church in Horninghold came alive with the sound of music and the joyful ring of children’s laughter, dogs barking and ‘bubbly’ conversation.
We remain deeply appalled by the serious criminal behaviour that led to Venessa Pinto’s conviction and our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by her actions.
In a celebration of cultural diversity and inspirational people from all times and all places, the church of All Saints with Holy Trinity in Loughborough came alive with the sights, sounds, and spices of its intercultural community last weekend.
Leicester Cathedral was host to a special civic service, welcoming the new Lord Mayor of Leicester, Councillor Teresa Aldred. The service, held on Sunday 15 June 2025, was an opportunity to give thanks to God and pray for his blessings upon the City of Leicester, the work of the Lord Mayor, and all who hold public office in the city.
On 8 June, St Bartholomew’s Church in Quorn had a double celebration service: the birth of God’s Church at Pentecost and the birth of St Bart’s 50 years ago, in its present entity as an Anglican and Methodist United Church.
