On Sunday 11 September, Jessie Tang was licensed as Intercultural Ministry Director by Bishop Martyn at a service at the Church of the Martyrs in Leicester.
Civic dignitaries and Cadets and guests from other faiths took part in this moving service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving for The Queen.
There’s a play called ‘Ruka’ opening at the Curve theatre in Leicester this weekend, marking the 50th anniversary of the Ugandan Asian exodus. As we seek to be more ‘intergenerational' in our worshiping communities, churches around the diocese are experimenting with new and creative ways to explore everyday faith together among all ages. One such church is St Paul's in Oadby who, as an Intercultural Worshiping Community, is on a journey of discovery, growing together in diversity across its many forms.
