Rector of the Benefice of Desford & Kirby Muxloe


The Bishop of Leicester is seeking to appoint a Rector to the benefice of Desford and Kirby Muxloe. These two suburban parishes are situated on the North West of Leicester close to the M1, M69 and M42, with a residential area of around 10,000 people.

To this end, we seek a person who:

  • Can inspire, encourage and strengthen ministry for all, developing our laity and investing in new leaders and teams,
  • Can communicate the story of Jesus to all ages and backgrounds, listening with compassion and demonstrating good pastoral skills,
  • Can help us see and embrace new opportunities, encouraging us to take risks,
  • Is comfortable with a variety of worship styles and locations.
