Bishop Martyn was amongst guests including the Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire, Mike Kapur OBE, and the Lord Mayor of Leicester, Councillor George Cole, who attended the official opening of Leicester Hebrew Congregation’s heritage centre. The Chief Rabbi, Ephraim Mirvis, addressed those gathered, sharing his delight that the Heritage centre was within an active synagogue, showing not just the history of Judaism in Leicester but also its present and hope for the future.
