Shaped by God Toolkit

From this page you can access a range of resources that may help you as your church works through what Shaped by God means in your local context.

They broadly fall into three categories:

· Mission Audit materials – helping you examine the life of your church in the light of the ‘nine marks of a healthy mission-shaped church’. This is largely a question of description of what is happening at the moment.

· Mission Action Planning materials – helping you plan your church’s aims and activities over the next year and beyond.

· Mission Partnership materials – describing the processes that are leading to formation of Mission Partnerships, and how they are beginning working as ‘base units for mission and ministry of the diocese’ (as the Report states).

Mission Audit

· A Mission Audit Tool you can use to carry out an audit of the mission life of your particular congregation

· Short booklets linked to each of the ‘nine marks’

· A helpful short summary of the ‘nine marks’ for use in conjunction with the above

Mission Action Planning

· A document offering one way of developing a Mission Action Plan for your parish or benefice

· A link to www.churchmaps.co.uk, a national website for UK churches to learn and share about mission action planning

Mission Partnerships

· A paper by the director of Education on how the principles of Shaped by God relate to our work in church schools

· Creating Mission Partnerships – a strategy document from Bishop’s Council, charting the way forward as at May 2006

· An FAQ document (autumn 2006)

· A downloadable copy of the latest edition of Shaped by God News (comes out three times a year)
