TAKE THE MYSTERY OUT OF RETREATS AT LAUNDE ABBEY

Launde Abbey is to take the mystery out of being on retreat by offering a retreat specifically geared towards people who have never been on one before. This will allow people to have time to enjoy both the tranquillity of Launde and be re-energised spiritually. The idea of attending a spiritual retreat for the first time might seem daunting. Launde Abbey Warden, the Reverend Tim Blewett said: “Retreats should be used as a time of spiritual renewal, with much of the time being spent quietly or in prayer in order to listen to God’s still, small voice in their lives. We find this helps people to regain the correct balance in their lives and gives them the ability to move on. Launde Abbey is a wonderful place to visit in its own right because of its location away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and often we find it is just this space that people need to think things through in their lives. The Retreat for First Time Retreatants is a gentle introduction towards a new spiritual life and will take people one step further into developing a relationship with God, through peaceful reflection.”
The retreat runs from lunchtime on Monday, 25th June until after lunch on Wednesday, 27th June 2007 and costs £145.00, which includes all meals and accommodation. Launde Abbey is the residential Retreat House for the Diocese of Leicester, offering Christian hospitality to all people, with or without faith.
