We are delighted to announce the date of the 2012 Diocesan Assembly as Saturday 26th May. This year’s assembly, entitled Colours of Life, has a festival feel for all ages and is inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic Games. With activities as diverse as fire-eating and Messy Church, jemba drumming and Godly Play, there is plenty to experience and explore. The speakers venue plays host to best selling author and theologian, Graham Tomlin; Messy Church creator Lucy Moore; Faith Advisor to the 2012 Games, Duncan Green and marathon running priest Janet Bibb. The day will have a strong missional feel, with churches especially encouraged to invite young families and children they are in contact with. Nearer the time, an invitation will be given to over 20,000 school children across the county and city. For more details download the flyer here.
