Dean of Leicester to be Dean of York

Figures show Church marriages up four percent

The latest local church attendance figures from the Church of England for 2010 show that approaching 1.7 million people continue to attend Church of England services each month, and around 1.1 million attend one of the Church of England’s 16,000 churches as part of a typical week. Continue Reading

10th Jan 2012 - Market Harborough to Lubenham. Lubenham to Foxton. On to Kibworth. Continuing through Oadby. An evening celebration in Leicester. Next day on to Quorn, Loughborough, Hoton, Wymeswold. Then to Asfordby, Melton and onwards. With thousands expected to line the route, the torch relay is a huge opportunity for churches to “use the power of the Games to inspire change” (official 2012 vision). As part of the ongoing work of the nine main Christian denominations, a new taskgroup is being launched to meet this wonderful opportunity, but it needs people to be apart of it!
