Lay Congress 2011
last updated on: 28th Nov 2011
Over three hundred people packed in to the Samworth Enterprise Academy to discuss the relationship between science and Christianity on Saturday 26th November at the annual Bishop’s Lay Congress. Key note addresses and workshops were led by professional scientists from the Faraday Institute, an organisation devoted to promoting public understanding of the relationship between science and religion through lectures, conferences, literature and other means. Fascinating insights were offered on a host of subjects from the Big Bang to evolution to cosmology, and the subject matter was further enriched by remarkable imagery and video clips of eminent scientists discussing their faith and professional work.
