“The End of the Peer Show?” Is there a place for Bishops in a modern Parliament?

In this lecture the Bishop of Leicester will explore what the House of Lords is for; how good it is at its job, and why ours is the only democracy in the world that has a guaranteed seat for Bishops. In particular, he will ask how should the voice of Bishops be heard in an economic crisis and what should be the voice of the Church in the Public Square.
