Foundation Governors

Every governor whether appointed, elected or ex-officio has the same duties and responsibilities. As a corporate body, the responsibilities of church school governors include - religious education, staffing, finance and in VA and foundation schools, admission of pupils and buildings and maintenance. Foundation governors should have a particular concern for the religious education and collective worship in the school and in making final decisions; they should recognise that religious education deserves full resourcing support. They should represent the Christian Ethos of the school on the governing body.
