About Social Responsibility

Introduction

Social Responsibility is part of the Diocese of Leicester and its role is to resource the Diocese and parishes on issues of church and society. As Christians we offer the context of our faith as the basis of our engagement with the world. Social Responsibility encourages us to care about God’s world and people. It is rooted in gospel values such as the command to love our neighbour as ourselves and to offer support to the most disadvantaged in society.

Social Responsibility uses a variety of action groups to take this work forward, through work in parishes, deaneries and conferences, with training days and support groups. Officers and staff are available to talk with deaneries, chapters, parishes and other groups and to receive enquiries.

If you have any questions or if you cannot find what you are looking for, please give us a ring, we would love to hear from you.
