  • Offering assistance in preparing worship for diocesan occasions

  • Co-operating with Mission and Ministry in providing liturgical formation for those who lead worship in parishes, particularly for IME 4-7 and CMD for lay and ordained ministers

  • Promoting good practice in worship and the use of liturgy across the diocese including:

    • a good understanding of the legal principles and freedoms

    • inspiring a sense of drama and excitement

    • valuing its spiritual heritage

    • encouraging worship in fresh expressions that is pioneering and faithful

  • Keeping itself informed of further developments and learning across the Church of England in the area of worship and liturgy in order to be a resource to leaders in parishes.
